The importance of installing the fan with a wall switch

Modified on Fri, 24 Jan at 5:26 PM

We recommend that the fan be installed with a wall switch.
Installing the ceiling fan with a wall switch not only improves comfort and ease of use, but it is also an essential safety measure. It prevents damage to the receiver and motor caused by voltage fluctuations, reduces potential electrical risks when the fan is not in use for an extended period, and helps save energy. All of this helps protect both your fan and your home, providing you with added peace of mind and safety.

When the switch is turned on, the fan light will turn on (if it has one). When you turn on the switch, the fan will receive power, and when you turn it off, it will stop receiving power.

From the remote control, you can control the fan light (if it has one) as well as the other fan functions. Therefore,;

  • The fan will not start just by using the switch.
  • For the rest of the fan to work, the switch must be on.
  • For night use, you should turn off the light from the remote control.

If you want to control the light from the switch instead of using the remote control, we recommend contacting your trusted electrician and reviewing the installation manual to verify if the fan allows this, as wiring modifications will be necessary. ⚠️ Please remember that any modification to the product may affect the warranty. Also note that using it without a switch will also result in the loss of light functionalities (changing light temperature or adjusting intensity).
